The starting signal of Atea Jönköping Swimrun will be given on June 6th at 08:30, for all main distances. 15 kilometres is our shortest distance on June 6th and it is a great choice for both the inexperienced swimrunner, but also the more experienced athlete who is looking for a short distance race. This distance can be attempted both alone, as an individual race, or in a team of two athletes. Prices, in the form of merchandise, is awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams in each class.
The course is to a large extent shared with the longer distances, but is cut off both in the east and west, compared to the 35 and 55 kilometre races. Thereby the 15 kilometre course is less challenging, especially in terms of elevation, than the longer courses, but it still contains some challenging hills. The course is composed of varying paths and roads, both asphalt, gravel, dirt roads and forest paths. In summary, the race is composed of 13.1 km running (185 metres elevation) and 3.25 km swimming, spread out over 8 run segments of 0.3-5.5 km each and 7 swim segments of 0.15-0.7 km each. Two changes have been made since 2018; the first run segment is now longer, to warm up and spread the field of athletes before the first swim, and a new swim segment has been added in Vattenledningsparken.
More details about each segment can be found in the table below the maps, as well as in the table with detailed maps of each segment at the bottom of the page (now updated for 2019).
